Sang-mi, who goes by the name ‘Haegreendal’, is the main character(actor) in her videos. Along with herself, the most appeared characters are her little son. Her husband, her mother, and friends seldom appear. The filming location is mainly at home, in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. Sidewalks, nature, seashore, cafe, jeju-island, and picnic sites are also filmed.

Props include simple, either white or wooden furniture, various table clothes, wooden kitchenware, seasonal ornaments and decorations, and a lot more. Sang-mi’s clothes are usually plain, simple, tidy clothes with an apron on top. She clothes her son and herself with a similar mood and color scheme; soft, matte colors such as ivory, brown, gray, tone-downed pink are often seen. Patterns are usually striped or plain without any printing. The lighting is soft and natural. She uses daily lighting such as sunlight and a stand lamp instead of professional studio lights.

The youtube channel ‘Haegreendal’ utilizes cuts very often. Matched cuts and cutting rhythms occur frequently. At the beginning, short and quick rhythmic cuts match the background music and give an overview of the whole video in approximately the first 15 seconds. Fade, dissolve, and frequent changes in the angle keeps the viewers focused. Sound includes soft background music that are either instrumental, indie, or pop music. The asmr of the ordinary sounds are catched now and then as well. For example, her little son’s laughter and small talk, thunder, cooking sound, rain, birds chirping, ice hitting glass, etc.

Her contents include but are not limited to: how to make home chores enjoyable, what to eat on rainy days, wise order to live a happy day, the importance of completion, and more.
